Associate a work item before check-in instead of resolve it

All VS developper meet this problem, when you check-in on a work item, by default it resolve it.

To clear this issue, go to regedit and update this specific key

in VS 2010

« ResolveAsDefaultCheckinAction »= »False »

In VS 2012

« ResolveAsDefaultCheckinAction »= »False »

How To disable development server

People who have large solution with lot of differents projects type (BizTalk, c# WCF….) may want to disable the debugging webserver, when they enter in debug mode.

On the web you can find lot of solution like updating regiter key or delete web debug server.

But the simpliest technic is to disable the project to start the debug asp server :

Click on the project, then go to the property tab and set to false the property « Always Start When debugging » :

projects have recently been added to this solution do you want to get them from source control

Another Visual Studio problem, when you open the solution you get this error :

« projects have recently been added to this solution do you want to get them from source control ». I think this « problem » come from some migration because, I always get this error with some project which I migrated.

This problem is not important but if you want to clear it here is the step for :

  1. Unbind the solution from TFS (Do this by going to File/Source Control/Change Source Control menu item)

  2. Edit the .sln file manually and remove all sections that look like « GlobalSection(TeamFoundationVersionControl) = preSolution ». Those sections could be very large, but don’t worry, Visual Studio will regenerates those.

  3. Rebind the solution with TFS

With this tips you can also clear the issue : « Some of the properties associated with the solution could not be read«

How to Debatch into an orchestration with a pipeline

This is a frequent problem, and many solutions exist. But I will explain the solution with a pipeline which is more effecient than the solution with xpath solution

Here is my case, I receive data from Oracle DataBase with WCF-Oracle adapter and I need to process line per line.

WCF-Oracle work in my case in Receive-Response behavior so I need to develop an orchestration and debatch within. Lire la suite

cannot resolve imported service

When you have multiple called orchestration stage in different BizTalk project, you can get this error : « cannot resolve imported service »

It’s an old bug from visual studio 2005. Let me explain you when this bug appears :

you have 3 orchestrations A, B, C

  • A references B
  • B references C

When you compile you obtain the error cannot resolve imported service.

To clear this issue just add C in A’s references
